COVID-19 FEDERAL SUPPORT
The Government of Canada is committed to taking immediate, significant and decisive action to help Canadians deal with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of their COVID-19 Economic Response Plan, they have created the Canada Emergency Business Account, which is now open for applications.

THE CANADA EMERGENCY WAGE SUBSIDY
A 75-per-cent wage subsidy to eligible employers for up to 12 weeks, retroactive to March 15, 2020.
The program will provide $300 per month for eligible households with no dependents and $500 per month for eligible households with dependents.
Customers experiencing job loss, illness or lost wages due to COVID-19 can access grants up to $600 to pay their hydro bills through the Customer Crisis Fund
Customers on a monthly payment plan who are facing financial challenges due to COVID-19 may defer their payment for up to 90 days with no penalty
When residential customers enter the program their bills will be automatically deferred from April 1 to June 30, 2020, and an interest free repayment plan will be applied that is spread out over the next 12 months to help lessen the immediate financial impacts.
Small business owners in the program will have the option to receive support in the form of bill credits or deferral of bill payments from April 1 to June 30, 2020 and will also be entered into an automatic 12 month repayment plan.
