NANAIMO PRINT POWERHOUSE ELITE IMAGE ACQUIRES INPRINT GRAPHIC DESIGN AND PRINTING
Elite’s founder, award-winning Catrina Elliott, asserted InPrint’s existing clients would benefit from their complete solutions hub of graphic design, print, digital marketing and signs, and provide them with more resources to help them succeed.
The acquisition comes as InPrint’s owner Craig Palin prepares to retire. His company, specializing in digital and offset printing and signs, served the community for 42 years.
Elliott commented: “We are excited and honored to be given the opportunity to take over the reins from Craig. With our teams joining forces, we will have the most experienced and knowledgeable team to provide all print and marketing for clients.
“When we work alongside local business owners and help them succeed, we also keep our local economy and communities healthy and thriving.”
She added the acquisition would further enhance Elite Image’s capabilities to build recognizable corporate brands through its team of talented graphic designers and state-of-the-art print facility.
Elite Image has previously added Parksville’s Coastal Colour Design & Printing and Victoria’s Coastal Die Cut, and Print Finishing business to its stable of companies and was named Top 10 Best Company in Small Business BC. Elliott was Winner in the Top 20 Under 40 Business & Community Achievement Award and named 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year in Nanaimo.
The takeover will see Dave Mcbride, a six-year employee of InPrint, join the Elite Image team to maintain continuity for InPrint’s customers. Mr Palin will also remain on board for several months to pass on his experiences and ensure a seamless transition.
In a message to InPrint clients, he assured: “I chose Elite Image because it is essential for me to support our local economy and have a local shop that is highly capable of continuing to look after all our clients.
“Elite is homegrown and privately-owned. It keeps all work in-house, supporting our local economy and local businesses. So I know every dollar invested in your print marketing supports 100% local, just as InPrint’s mantra. Elite provides expanded services and will help support our clients grow further.”
InPrint’s 565 Terminal Avenue base has been appropriated by the City of Nanaimo and will be demolished in the New Year to make way for a new bus exchange.
